The opening ceremony for the School Year 2024-2025 marks an impressive development milestone for the Vietnam-Finland International School, five years since its inauguration and welcoming of the first students in August 2019. As a pioneering institution in implementing a curriculum and teaching methods that combine the excellence of Finnish education with the cultural identity of Vietnam, VFIS provides a positive learning environment that helps students nurture a love for learning, embodying the resilient SISU spirit, determined to overcome challenges and confidently step into the future.
In the past School Year, in addition to the 100% high school graduation rate achieved by 12th-grade students in the Bilingual Program, the 12th-grade students in the International Program also excelled in the 2024 International Baccalaureate exams, with an impressive average score of 34.5 compared to the global average of 30.32. The highest score achieved by a student was 40. This achievement not only affirms the comprehensive educational quality of VFIS but also serves as a source of great pride for teachers, students, and parents.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President of TDTU, congratulated and encouraged the VFIS teachers and students to continue their excellent teaching and learning efforts. He also affirmed that TDTU would always provide the best possible conditions for students to develop at VFIS. Particularly, with the direct admission policy specifically for VFIS high school graduates, TDTU is ready to welcome VFIS students to pursue advanced training programs at the University, as well as connect them with reputable global educational partners to continue their higher education. On this occasion, the School awarded scholarships to outstanding students with exceptional academic achievements and significant contributions to the community, with a total value of nearly 1.5 billion VND.
